When Time Goes Like a Melody – Piaget Polo Tourbillon Relatif Watch
Author: admin | Date: February 21, 2011 | No Comments »This is a watch that has triggered lots of my imagination. I try to picture what beautiful things would happen, when time goes peacefully like a melody. Perhaps it’s a bit too late now to introduce this Piaget Polo Tourbillon Relatif Watch, which was unveiled last year in 2010. Well, I missed it, and the first sight of it told me that I shouldn’t have done that. To make it up, I present to you this gorgeous and rather special timepiece right here.
You can easily see the uniqueness of this Piaget one-of-a-kind watch, which uses music notes as hour-markers. The case is crafted in 18-carat white gold, measuring 25.60 mm in diameter. Take a closer look and then you will see another special part, and that will be the musical instruments in black grand feu enamelling on both sides, beautifully decorating the case and echoing with the notes on the dial. The reverse side features image of a jazzman.
And animating this new Polo Tourbillon Relatif timepiece is the manufactory-made Piaget 608P mechanical hand-wound flying tourbillon movement.
The whole design without a doubt reveals a fabulous combination of exquisiteness and elegance, as well as technology and beauty. Suspended from the minute hand, the tourbillon carriage demonstrates 3 titanium bridges. It rotates once per minute on its own axis. With the center of rotation in the middle, the minute hand accomplishes one full revolution per hour. Sparkling with 27 jewels, the caliber operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, offering a power reserve 68 hours.
In addition, the new watch comes with a black alligator leather strap finalized by a folding clasp, which is also crafted out of 18-carat white gold.
